Activating WAP

To provide a strong internet connection throughout an entire building, install additional Wireless Access Points (APs) to extend the network range. The Meraki MR3(x) is the only Church-authorized AP and can be purchased and installed by the facilities management (FM) group if additional wireless coverage is needed. After an AP is installed and configured, a technology specialist or FM will need to activate the device in Church Network Manager (CNM). Instructions for activating APs are found below:

  1. Log into Church Network Manager (CNM.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) using any web browser.
  2. Find the property and firewall for the building you are adding the access point.
  3. Click MENU in the upper right-hand corner and then select "Add Devices".

3. Enter the Meraki access point serial number in the Serial Number field, add a Label, and click Add Devices.  Or click +Add to add more than one access point at the same time.

4. Complete! Contact the GSD if you have problems activating an access point.
