Adding Calling in LCR

Adding technology specialists in Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR) yields the following benefits:

1. It allows Church headquarters to send communications directly to technology specialists. Learn more about technology specialist communications.
2. It allows Church headquarters to offer training to technology specialists. Learn more about technology specialist training .
3. It allows people to see in the Member Tools app and the ChurchofJesusChrist.org directory whom to contact for assistance related to Church technology.
4. It gives technology specialists access to systems such as Technology Manager.

To add a technology specialist into LCR:

1. Log in to LCR.
2. Click Organizations > Stake Presidency.
3. Click Edit on the row Technology Specialist.
4. Enter the person called, the date they were sustained, and if they were set apart or not.
5. Clicks Save.

To change a technology specialist in LCR:

A stake clerk follows the same instructions above until he clicks Edit, at which point he clicks Release next to the person who is currently recorded; enters the new person called, the date they were sustained, and whether or not they were set apart; and clicks Save.

Tips

• Save time by making sure a person’s contact information, especially the email address, is up to date in LCR or in the directory at ChurchofJesusChrist.org before making changes to their calling.
• Technology specialists put into LCR correctly should also appear in the Member Tools app and on the ChurchofJesusChrist.org directory.
• Technology specialists are encouraged to share their contact information with other members of the stake or district on the ChurchofJesusChrist.org directory.
• Technology specialists can log in to the Church Directory of Organizations and Leaders (CDOL) to view the names and contact information of technology specialists and other people in leadership callings. Visit the CDOL at cdol.ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Search for your stake or district by name or unit number. Expand Positions, and make sure that “Technology Specialist” is listed and that there is a valid email address listed.
