Changes to Two-Step Verification callings?

In the last week, my wife's account changed to an unvoluntary "Two-Step Verification" required.
My account it is not 2FA required, and is not self-selected.

We have nearly-identical ward callings (RS teacher/Pri teachers), both are Temple workers, and she also has stake music calling.

Why would the requirement change in the last week requiring 2FA on hers, but not mine, if her callings do not involve confidential or financial responsibilities.

She only uses her church account to infrequently access ward/stake directory and check her temple shift schedule.
What changed?
Can we call global account support to un-require the 2FA option?

You can try going to account.churchofjesuschrist.org and see if you can turn it off. But if it's required for a calling, I highly doubt you can get it removed by calling GSD.

I can't turn it off in her profile (but can in mine). I'll try GSD. We can't figure out what calling would trigger it. We don't have leadership callings. The only calling that differs between wife and I is she has stake music calling (non-financial, non-leadership). THAT is the puzzle.
