Has anyone tried using Red5 for church video streaming without delay and if they can recommend it or not.

Are you referring to their 50GB/month free plan? While I haven't tried it, it would appear 1.25 to 1.5 hours of up to 1080p60 using H.264/265 encoding each week, with the possibility of 5 streams a month, would comfortably fit within that plan - assuming they don't change the terms down the road. I didn't see anything in their Terms of Service restricting corporations from using the free plan.

Our stake has been using YouTube Live with very stable results for over 10 years. Completely free with insanely generous terms.

I'm not sure what you mean by "without delay". Unless you're webcasting to another room in the same building, the delay really doesn't matter much. With the original church webcasting system, delays often ran several minutes. It's all the same for those watching remotely. On YouTube Live, we're getting 5-6 second latency on the "Low latency" setting. Haven't tried "Ultra-Low"; I don't see the need.
So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.
