Come, Follow Me manuals

Post by nelsonk6 »

Is there a way to influence how many Come, Follow Me manuals are shipped to individual units? We always get way more than we need. Thanks.

That's a really great question. I'm not in a leadership role currently so I don't know what guidance the Church has provided about 2026 CFM manuals, and whether that's different from previous years. I expect the quantity is auto-calculated without any local input, but perhaps that's not the case. Let's see what others say.

So if there's going to be too many manuals arriving and it can't be changed, one thing I've previously suggested to our stake was to consider having each ward/branch pool their resources. So if a unit received more manuals than needed, perhaps there's another unit in the stake that could use them. I'd even advocate for multi-stake outreach if someone's stake has a ton of extras that they'll just end up recycling. Even for a stake with a lot of younger members who are fully digital, there's going to be neighboring stakes on the other end of the spectrum with members firmly attached to their physical media...

Gather all of the unused manuals from your stake and neighboring stakes and drop them off at the Church Office Building to see if they get the message. Just kidding. :)
I'm hopeful that local leaders will be able to give better input on this in the future, based on local needs, but for now the distribution is automatic.

Back in July we received the "Official Communication" about 2026 Curriculum orders... it indicated that we would be getting some Come, Follow Me manuals shipped to us at no cost...

In the past, we have always received way too many... however, this year they seem to have decided to “fix” that... and not sent any...
At least we have not yet received any (as of today 12/08/2025) of the 2026 curriculum manuals.... I guess it is all or none...? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Has anyone else received (or not) your allocation of 2026 CFM manuals?

Interestingly enough, yesterday I received a shipment of 2026 CFM manuals. The interesting part is that I was released from my leadership calling a year and a half ago, and don't even belong to that unit anymore. Last December's CFM shipment for that unit was sent to the correct address of the new leader. Yet the FedEx shipping labels on the boxes that appeared yesterday on my doorstep, had that unit's name and my home address (I guess I'm glad I haven't moved during that time period!). So that's something the new leaders will have to track down, who knows how my address suddenly popped back up (could be FedEx, could be the online store, could be an internal church database, but gratefully I don't have to worry about figuring that out ;) )

I landed here looking to see if our ward was the only ward that hasn't received any manuals for next year. I have some folks asking about them. Sounds like I need to check the old bishop's house.

We only received 16 manuals this year. Like many others previous years we always had too many.
Will we get additional books or do we need to go pick some up?
