There is an issue where returned missionaries (RMs) are not receiving any church communications over email, including ward newsletters, worldwide announcements, and mission reunion messages. This stems from
1) current missionaries change their Church account email to [theirName]@missionary.org ;
2) missionaries return home and don't change it back ;
3) after a time, the [theirName]@missionary.org email expires and they no longer receive communications. As of this writing, that time period is 90 days.
To fix this, follow the steps in the thread below to reset your email from your MRN which can be found by your ward clerk or on your temple recommend. It would be a good idea for bishops, clerks, or stake presidents to check their records for this.

1) Any email ending in @missionary.org should not be used as a primary Church account email
2) Current missionaries' email [theirName]@missionary.org should automatically be added as a secondary account email during their service. This would allow them to continue to receive support for Church websites, account recovery, and home ward communications. This email should be removed from the account when they are released from a full-time mission.

And while we're at it, RMs need to download all their photos from their missionary account, (not just link to them) before the 90 days is up. Otherwise, they'll likely lose all their mission photos.
