iPhone 7 is uptodate w/ iOS 15.8.3
Member Tools has not updated since Aug 1
Trying to update = error msg "Member Tools is not available"
I did troubleshooting with Global Services
All buttons in the app are turned on. including Background App Refresh
(yes, even "advanced" visual analytics is ON)
I deleted the app & did a HARD RESET of my iPhone (twice)
The NEW app would not download but offered an OLDER VERSION.
When I click on the app, I see the Church in a Blue Box. A "Sign In" button under the Logo. "Member Tools is not available" in white letters under the Sign In button.
When I try to 'sign in', after User Name & Password, I see a square white box "updating" for a few seconds, then "Event: sign out", then "Event: forced sync"
The white boxes are all closed, then "Member Tools is not available." in white letters below the Sign In button
I tried my wife's login (she has a LONG password) but I get the same results.
So it's a problem with my iPhone OR the older version of the app???

According to the Member Tools Frequently Asked Questions, you have to have minimum of iOS 16. While the app store may offer older versions, there's no promise the servers they connect to are still operating.
Depending on the version, it appears the iPhone 7 was discontinued about 5 or 7 years ago.

Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

According to the App Store preview the latest version of Member Tools for iPhone is version 5.0.3 and requires iOS 16.0 or later. That is why your phone cannot install the latest Member Tools version.
While earlier versions of Member Tools may be available they may not be able to connect to the app data servers.
