Member tools, audit log ?

Post by alboucq »

We are seeing unexpected and unwanted changes to our sisters ministering routes. All the leaders who are authorized to make these changes have not made them. Is there an audit log that we can review to see who is making these unauthorized changes?

Work with your ward clerk to make certain everyone who has access to make changes has been contacted. The bishop may also need to get involved. There are 13 leaders in your ward who have callings with access to make changes. Make certain you have spoken to all 13 of them.

If that does not resolve the problem, I believe I saw in another post that Church headquarters has a record of who made the changes. But the bishop or clerk would probably need to call to access that information, if it is even available.

But to answer your specific question, there is not an audit log available that you can review at the ward level.

I'd also add that there have been fairly frequent issues in the past, with the Tools app not syncing data correctly. My understanding is that almost always (?), what is shown on the Church website is still valid in those cases, but the app just struggles to sync at times. Ministering assignments could potentially fall into this category of potential "data loss".

It sounds like your situation is something more generalized, where multiple leaders are all seeing the same undesired changes (as opposed to a single user seeing changes that nobody else sees). And perhaps LCR is also showing these unwanted modifications, not just Tools. Just mentioning this in case it might apply in some fashion to what you are experiencing.

I wonder if there were some old ministering assignments in a draft state (under Proposed Assignments) that got published, either accidentally by a ward leader, or by a bug in the system.
