Mission Language Not Loading - Lost on Save

#1

Post by greenwoodkl »

I have submitted a GSD ticket already, but thought I'd post this out there for any others with the same symptom.

If I edit a member record (update contact info or preferred name) of an adult with a Mission Country and Language, the dropdown for the language is not loading properly. If I make edits and save, then the previous language appears to be removed from the record. For now I'm avoiding any edits of adults with a mission language.

This is a known bug in LCR. It is caused by the Mission Department and the way they are sending information right now. We have to wait for them to release their new Missionary Information System in a few months - they don't want to spend time fixing the existing system. Until them the leader will need to leave the mission language alone - it should be fixed automatically with the new release. Thank you.
Got this message from the GSD today.

The latest from the GSD:
This is a known bug that is caused by the current system migration of the missionary department. This bug has made it so that mission languages cannot be edited, even on our end. We do not have an ETA on when the migration will be complete. You will need to try again at a later time. There is no recommended action. Due to the migration, there is no option of editing mission languages. God knows the service they did.
