Missionary Healthcare Coverage Issue

My son had a bike accident while on his mission injuring his knee. When he returned home, he needed surgery for an ACL repair. His missionary insurance is suppose to be a secondary coverage picking up where his primary leaves off. Speaking with the church provided insurance company, they say they will take care of it but after 2 years it still has not been paid. Is there a contact within the church that can look into this? If the insurance that represents the church will not pay then isn’t it the church’s responsibility?

I would suggest that you discuss this with your bishop, who will be able to contact the Church's insurance company, or designate someone to do it for him. That person will be able to determine the status of your medical claim, problems with any paperwork or missing information, and help to resolve the issue.
