We have a smart TV in our bishops office that worked well under the old LDS access but can no longer work under Liahona network due to the captive portal.
Is there a method for the Stake Technology specialists to bypass the captive portal for a specific device permanently?

Yes. In TM, select the firewall, click on the blue three dot menu, select "Groups Policy Manager", select the MAC address of the device in question and add it to the "NoSplash" policy.TJHill wrote:Is there a method for the Stake Technology specialists to bypass the captive portal for a specific device permanently?
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

The TV should be turned on, so its MAC address appears in the pick-list in TM.
And you must be a STS or ASTS to make this change in TM.

I believe the Bishop is also able to make the change -- not sure if Bishops are tagged as STS behind-the-scenes, or if they also have access granted. But we were successful in connecting our Chromecast device this way, and we didn't have any STS around when we did this
