Are LDS Philanthropies donations visible on donations.lds.org or lds.org/finance?

Hopefully, the question is self-explanatory. We have a ward member who donated to LDS Philanthropies, earlier this year and is failing to see the donation in his donations.lds.org records, and we (the ward clerks) are failing to see it on lds.org/finance. Are these kinds of donations excluded from donations.lds.org and lds.org/finance records? In other words, will the member need to get a separate tax record from LDS Philanthropies? Thanks.

The only way a donation will show up at the ward or on-line is if there is a MRN attached to the donation. In looking at the website, I don't see them asking that information, or for your LDS Account (which would have the MRN connected with it). So, I think the answer is that he'll have to get a statement from them.

LDS Philanthropies accepts many kinds of donations (including donations in kind). Because of that, to avoid confusion or partial records, I would guess that LDS Philanthropies donations are tracked on an entirely different system from the standard donation tools.

This is correct. I've donated stock a couple of times and received an official tax statement immediately following the transaction. Not that I had to, but I always brought those statements to tithing settlement, since the ward's records showed a very low donation total for that year.
