moving unassigned items to notebooks

I have a highlighted scripture assigned to the "unassigned items notebook". I click edit, and assign this scripture to another notebook. I click on 2 or 3 of these notebooks placing a check mark on the notebooks I want to move this unassigned item to. Click save, and nothing happens. The scripture is still in the unassigned notebook.
