Internet Security for iPod Touch

We intend to get our 8-year old granddaughter an iPod Touch for her birthday - loaded with all the Church sites, scriptures, LDS video apps, etc. In addition to loading it up ... how do we properly protect the device from inappropriate Internet content?

I don't think there's anything you can do on the iPod touch itself – but there should be a way to filter sites going through your home wifi network/router... Not sure on specifics.

With the latest couple of versions of iOS, there are some good parental control options in iOS settings.

A great option to filter content on your home network is using Disney Circle. You can filter out content and or websites with various levels of restrictions. This has worked great for our family last few years.
