Hello. We are switching our ward to doing Personal Progress online. Before I do a training on it, I'd heard that 12-year-olds can't have an account or something. Is that true?
Also, does LDSTech on YouTube have a video about how to do Personal Progress online?
Thanks for your time!

Youth under age 13 must have parental permission to establish an LDSAccount. This is done during the registration process by entering the membership record number of one of the parents.geekiemommie wrote:I'd heard that 12-year-olds can't have an account or something. Is that true?
The age requirement relates to U.S. law concerning protection of children on the Internet.

Awesome, that is great to know! So, they can have their own login, but just need parental permission when signing up, by having the parents membership record number?

I'm not sure how you're thinking about doing this, but having the parents give their children the parent's membership number is a bad idea. Only the Bishopric, clerks and the individual involved should have it.geekiemommie wrote:but just need parental permission when signing up, by having the parents membership record number?
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

Yes, but the parent should be there when they sign up. They shouldn't just give their youth their membership number to use.geekiemommie wrote:Awesome, that is great to know!
