Alternative to captive Liahona for general use in Institute buildings

The Logan Institute encourages students to come and use open areas as study space but the captive portal enforced by the Liahona network is annoying for frequent visitors who connect multiple devices. If you couldn't tell, I am one of these students but I hear this complaint from others too.

I belong to a stake that uses a different building, but there are stakes that use the institute building for Sunday meetings. Who manages the networks in these shared buildings? Who to contact with this feedback? Anyone aware of church capabilities that could be useful here? Years ago, the Logan Institute had a separate network for students (iirc it used a captive portal also but the lease time was longer—this was LDSAccess era).

The stake technology specialist manages the network, but has no control over the firewall, which is managed from Church headquarters. Right now, Liahona is the WiFi SSID that is used and requires a daily acknowledgement when connecting.

Your Institute leaders may have a minor amount of influence to request changes. I would start with them.
