adding in parents to create membership record form
I am attempting to create a membership record for a child who has received a baby blessing. I would prefer to be able to populate the form with both parent's names (they are members of the ward) prior to printing it, but there does not appear to be an option for me to add them in...... Also, the top of the page for creating the membership record asks for "Primary Household Contact". If I indicate the father of the child as the primary contact, when I go to create the membership record form, it places the father's name in the field that says "Name of person the child lives with (if OTHER than parents)". However, the child lives with his parents. It seems very odd.

Re: adding in parents to create membership record form
That does sound very odd. I am a ward membership clerk, so I have created a few records for children who have been blessed. I don't recall any difficulty entering the child's parents during the process to create the record, especially when the parents were members of the ward.
Oh, I think the key is to go the father's record, go to the Family tab, and scroll down to the 'Add Child' button. If I remember correctly, that does pre-populate the new child record with the information about the parents.
Edit: Evidently, that no longer pre-populates the form.

Re: adding in parents to create membership record form
Going to the father and clicking add child does not pre-populate the Child Record Form, but instead directs you to the Create Record page, which has the same issue of not pre-populating any of the parents or blessing information. Additionally, selecting the head of household on that page does not pre-populate that person as the Father but instead puts that person in the "name of person the child lives with (if other than parents)" which is crazy.
However, I have found that they added the ability in Tools to add a person without needing to print the form. However, one of the parents has to provide consent first. But there's no option for parents to provide consent using their tools login. They literally have to be standing next to you, read the terms and then sign on your phone / tablet. At least they allow saving a draft. Too bad I can't create a draft and have the parent complete the draft on their device. It'd be convenient to be able to create the draft, text the parents to sign it, and then have the record be automatically created.

Thank you for the correction. I edited my post to show the correction.
I agree that putting the head of household as a person the child lives with but is not a parent is probably a bug. You might consider reporting it via Feedback as an apparent bug.
