This forum may not be the perfect fit for this question, but I haven't been able to find my answer elsewhere, and I'm betting someone here knows the answer.
I am trying to help a French-speaking family in our ward get set up to watch General Conference on their home computer this weekend. On the church website it says, "All sessions will be streamed live in more than 70 languages on the live broadcasts page (of Churchof JesusChrist.org)."
So I know where to go, but once there, how do I select French as the desired language?

I could be wrong, but if they select their preferred language as French on their church account, I think the language of the site changes automatically.
Log in to churchofjesuschrist.org, click on the picture at the far right of the menu bar (may be an icon if no picture has been uploaded), select "Account Settings" from the drop-down list to change the preferred language.

I believe the site serves up the video that matches your language selection for the website.
It simplifies the user experience by removing unneeded options, but does make it complicated for those of us who are trying to help others.

Adding lang= is the common Church method. ie:

Same thing happens with the Gospel Library app on your phone. Based on my language setting inside Gospel Library, when launching Gospel Library over conference weekend, it automatically displayed (at the top of the screen) the invitation to watch General Conference in that corresponding language.

Re: General Conference in foreign language
I am a senior missionary in Argentina and am preparing a talk. I am trying to use the church translation of the talks to quote them correctly, but several of the speakers are not translated in the church site or the Gospel Library app. It's past the time it is usually available. Does anyone know when they would be available or have a recommendation of where I can get the most correct translation of the talks? The ones missing are Elder Bednar, Elder Causse, President Uchtdorf, Elder Rasband, Elder Andersen, President Christofferson, and President's Oaks closing remarks.

Re: General Conference in foreign language
I noticed something similar when I previously checked on Sunday (also for preparing a talk). Today, going to the main Spanish page for General Conferences, nothing is listed for April 2026 (but it is for Portuguese and French that I checked). And if I manually type the path for the Spanish April General Conference session usingCTRFam wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 7:11 am I am a senior missionary in Argentina and am preparing a talk. I see a wide mix of translated and placeholder messages. The sidebar on the left shows talk names (in Spanish) for the translated messages, and simply the speaker name instead of the talk name if the message hasn't been published there yet. Doing something similar for Portugues ("por" at the end of the url) shows all talks translated, and French ("fra") is only missing one.
I'd also note that in the past (and probably again with this GenConf), people have identified cases where a spoken talk is different than the written and published version. And at times even the written versions are different between languages. And of course then the question is which is the most correct version!
My recommendation would be to use a translation app, and simply state at the beginning of your talk that you're using the best approximation currently available.
