Temple Callings - who updates these?

I am the Ward Clerk in a Ward that has many senior couples who serve in the temple. I am regularly contacted by them to update these in LCR, but of course I tell them every time that I’m unable to as I only handle callings at the ward level.

Who exactly is in charge of updating their temple callings so that they show up correctly through Member Tools? Who can I contact for support on this? Is this a Church HQ question or something handled at the Temple?

Who exactly is in charge of updating their temple callings

The temple updates all of these callings in the Temple Information System (TIS). Check with the Recorder. But it is likely that a sister in the admin office actually does it.

The temple workers themselves can also let the temple know that their calling is not showing.

The usual caveat about syncing sometimes applies. And note that TIS has been having problems recently. It almost always takes at least two days minimum for everything to cycle through the system.

If the temple insists they have updated TIS, call the GSD with a specific example to see if they are able to shake something loose.

Now LCR also shows these callings so you can at least tell if the issues is on the temple side (not in LCR) or on the Tools sync side (yes in LCR).

Thank you for your reply! There is a couple in my ward who is adamant that the temple does not update - they even spoke with the recorder and the recorder validated them - and redirected them to me? I’m very confused… I will call the Temple this week to try and find some answers, thank you for the info.

Just for my understanding, what does the acronym GSD stand for? Thanks again!
