All My Scripture Highlights, Notes, Tags, etc. GONE! (iOS/iPhone)

It appears there was a major update to the Gospel Library app overnight (iOS/iPhone), including new scripture image icons and chapter banner images for the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, New Testament, Old Testament, etc.

With this update, all of my scripture highlights, tags, notes, and bookmarks are gone! I have logged out and back in, and tried syncing multiple times, but nothing has returned.

I’m concerned there may have been some kind of issue or oversight with this mass update. I’m not sure whether others are experiencing the same problem, but I’d like to know:

- What can be done to recover my content?
- Are there any specific steps I can take on my end?
- Is this a known issue that is being worked on?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I’m really hoping this can be resolved as soon as possible! Thanks

Can you clarify what you mean by scripture image icons and chapter banner images?

The last iOS Gospel Library app update was 7.5.2, released on November 23rd. What version of the app are you running? Also, what version of iOS do you have on your device?

Do you see your annotations if you sign in to the website (Study.ChurchofJesusChrist.org or Notes.ChurchofJesusChrist.org)?

Do you see them in the Gospel Library app if you go to Home > Study Tools > Annotations?

Are your annotations only missing in scriptures? Or also in general conference, etc.?

I’m missing several of my highlights as well. I had marked the footnote letter that corresponded to either the typical guide, Hebrew, Greek, etc and a years worth of work is missing on my phone and iPad. All of these highlights lacked footnotes.

I reported the problem and as far as I know they are working on it.
When I look at my tags some of the tabs are empty if I try to share I can see the chapter where my tag is located but it doesn’t show the verse. Then I go to the chapter to find the scripture or scriptures that I tagged.
It is annoying but you can use this tip for now until a correction is made.
It is good that they didn’t actually disappear they are there.
This church app is great so little inconvenience is ok.
