It looks like Kindoo currently requires Android 8 and up, WiFi, and Bluetooth Low Energy. These days you can get a super cheap bare-bones Android phone for around $50. It would be interesting to test the limits and see if something like that would work.russellhltn wrote: Sun Nov 09, 2025 10:16 pmThe app requires iOS 15.1 or later. I couldn't find a minimum for Android.swigginton wrote: Sun Nov 09, 2025 6:00 pm Our recommendation is to find someone in the stake who just upgraded their phone and still has the old phone laying around unused. There will be several. Configure that phone to use the Liahona WiFi network and install Kindoo. That becomes the access key for the flip phone member.

User changes email address
This probably won't happen very often, but what happens when a user that has been added via calling sync and has been using the Kindoo app to open doors, but then decides to change the email address they use and so they update there LDS profile with a new email address?
Does the Kindoo app keep working with their old email address?
Or does it automatically get re-synced with the new email and either keep working or stop working?
Does anyone have any experience in this type of Scenario?

Re: Kindoo Access Control System
A variation on your question is what happens when someone new is called to a position that has a calling-specific email that is passed from member-to-member? There are many wards/stakes that have emails like WestlandBishop@xyz.com or NoviStakeClerk@xyz.com, and when someone new is called, the member changes their church account email to be that calling-specific email. I believe this should be as easy as the new clerk logging into Kindoo on their cellphone using their "new" church account email. This would then switch that user account to the new clerk's cellphone and remove access from the old clerk's cellphone.ELHawkes wrote: Tue Nov 11, 2025 7:53 am This probably won't happen very often, but what happens when a user that has been added via calling sync and has been using the Kindoo app to open doors, but then decides to change the email address they use and so they update there LDS profile with a new email address?

My question is what happens if the calling change is made in LCR and Kindoo syncs the new calling, but the member has not yet updated their church account to use the calling-specific email. In this scenario, Kindoo would actually update its data with the personal email for the new clerk, replacing the calling-specific email. Would the member then need to ask for a manual change to be made to update their info inside Kindoo, similar to what @ELHawkes asks?

Re: Kindoo Access Control System
The dash board in the Kindoo site management has quit working when using a web browser. It never loads even after 2 minutes as the note suggest to wait.
It is working OK when using the app on a phone.
Is anyone else having the same issue when using a web browser? I'm using a chrome book and chrome on the phone.

Yes, I saw this yesterday. I sent a message to the Kindoo support folks about it.ELHawkes wrote: Wed Nov 12, 2025 3:32 pm The dash board in the Kindoo site management has quit working when using a web browser. It never loads even after 2 minutes as the note suggest to wait.

Re: Kindoo Access Control System
Just got word from Kindoo Support that this is fixed. CTRL-F5 on the page and you should be back to normal.ELHawkes wrote: Wed Nov 12, 2025 3:32 pm The dash board in the Kindoo site management has quit working when using a web browser.
