Calling based calendar access not working
I'm the elders quorum president in my ward, but when I try to create a calendar event, I get a message that "Only authorized calendar editors can create events," implying that I am not an authorized user. I've confirmed that my is correctly recorded, I have access to other eq tools (ministering, emails, food orders, etc ), and my counselors can create calendar events, so I think the is not something that can be fixed locally. What would be the next step to get to the bottom of this?

Rights to the calendar are administered at the local level. Talk to the clerk to see if your calling has been added as a editor to the calendar(s) in question.
Since you are posting on a Sunday, if you've just been sustained, it might take a day for you to get those rights.

Re: Calling based calendar access not working
I've been in my calling for 16 months. I noticed this early, and have asked two different executive secretaries to look into it. They confirmed that eq president is listed as a calendar editor for both the EQ and ward activities calendars by default. Maybe I'll try having them delete and re-add it to see what happens.

Re: Calling based calendar access not working
The only default editors for a calendar are calendar administrators. The elders quorum president is not an administrator by default. Any callings to have editor permissions, other than administrators, must be explicitly added. So when an administrator manages calendars and clicks the edit link for a calendar the list of calendar editors that have been added will be displayed. Elders Quorum President must be displayed on the Editors list or there will be no editor permissions.
If Elders Quorum President is on the Editors list for the EQ and ward activities calendars then removing the calling, waiting for a day, and then added as an editor may reset the system. But I highly suspect Elders Quorum President is not showing on the Editors list.

You might try incognito/private mode just to make sure this isn't a cookie buildup issue.
