On a few occasions during the past couple months we've had students missing from the Class Attendance on the Tools App, yet they were on the class roster. It happened twice yesterday, and in each case the teachers ensured their app was synced. The missing students were not recently added or modified. Oddly, in all situations, after it's reported to me - I confirmed they were on the official roster (which they were), and I could see them on the Class Attendance tool. Anyone have an explanation?
Please let me know if you need any additional information or clarification.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Can you see what their privacy is set to? I could see how if set for "leaders only" it could create problems. I don't think teachers make the legal definition of "leader". Yet a Sunday School president could see it.

Re: Sunday School students missing from Tools-App Class Attendance
Hi there,
I had a similar issue on the Android version of the Members Tools application. but I found out that the membership records were missing altogether.
Cross checked that with LCR but there the records were available.
I deleted all the data from the mobile device and reloaded them and the missing records were there again. Only for a few days and then it happend again. Interrestingly always the same family.
Is that the same for you?
This puzzels me since I'm the ward clerk.
Maybe that helps
Regards
Thomas

May be unrelated, but I have seen situations where an incomplete sync results in missing data. In my experience it is usually the Ministering information that doesn't come in during a partial sync. I have seen situations where sync failures persist for weeks, even with a good WIFI connection. I'm also on Android.

Re: Sunday School students missing from Tools-App Class Attendance
Syncing does not always solve data discrepancies. When I have data problems I do a "Refresh Data". This corrects most data issues. This feature is found in the Settings menu. Beyond a data refresh there can be app issues introduced after an app update. A corrupt update can be rectified most of the time, if "Refresh Data" doesn't help, by uninstalling the app, restarting the mobile device, and reinstalling the app.
Note that a data refresh done on Sundays can run into server issues. I do not normally attempt data refreshes on Sunday to avoid server issues and further app data loss or corruption.
