Before, the clerk needed to coordinate with the groups to make sure the HT/VT lists were in sync with the membership records (if they were not being kept in MLS). But with everything on-line, I'm not sure as that applies. Everyone is working from the same list.
My wife has been the VT Coordinator for nearly five years. She has been maintaining all the VT districts, companionships, and visit data in a spreadsheet, and reporting summary statistics to the ward clerk. A few minutes ago, I asked her if she had seen the new VT feature on LCR, and she said she had never used LCR because she didn't think she had access to anything.

When she first connected to LCR and viewed Visiting Teaching, she was amazed by two things:
- How badly outdated the companionships and visit data was.
- How easy this new feature is to use.

She is excited that she will be able to use LCR rather than a spreadsheet to organize and record visiting teaching. She has always been frustrated because she doesn't learn about move-ins and move-outs until months after the fact. This new tool will give her greater access and visibility.

Ah, missed it. Thanks. Very nicely greyed out, nearly invisible on my monitor.

There are many Relief Societies (and priesthood quorums) that have never used the HT/VT function in MLS. As more leaders become aware of the capabilities of LCR, they may see some sense in beginning to use that function there.

These two things are probably related.

If she deletes all of the existing districts, it will wipe out the districts and companionships (read the warnings carefully!) and she can start with a clean slate.
