"Malicious Software is the term that is used to describe applications that are written with the express purpose of either exposing or doing harm to your data." - I disagree. It includes that, but it's much more. Bots, DoS Attacks, Ad ware, etc. Lots of Malware.

- You're certainly right that malware includes far more than that narrow definition. On the main Family Safety page, there are listed subcategories for adware, spyware, viruses, and worms, so that does broaden the scope, but this article should use a more accurate definition, especially since this article should be the gateway to all the subtopics. However, this article is obviously incomplete at this point, so I just thought I would wait and see what the finished article looks like. Hopefully the author will see these comments and correct the definition. -- Aebrown 14:45, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
