Talk:Project Announcements
Is this page just for Development?
When this page was created, its title was appropriate, but now that the wiki has a broader scope, should this page be moved to "Development Announcements"? Or is it intended to cover all announcements for the wiki? Currently the content is purely oriented towards development. Personally I would vote for a separate page for Development Announcements, and then if we want, we could add another one for the clerk side of the wiki. Although the audiences have some overlap, they are quite different. -- Aebrown 01:55, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
- I'm cool with having a specific development announcements. I would suggest instead of "development announcements" we use "Project Announcements". We can keep a page for "generic" announcements if we want. But maybe the simplest thing is to change this one to "Project Announcements" and then if we need a regular announcements page, we can create it when we want it. Tom Welch 21:06, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- I moved the page to "Project Announcements." I agree that we can add a general or clerk-oriented project page if the need arises. -- Aebrown 12:48, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Adjust source code highlighting to include a border?
When this extension is used, I would prefer to have a border around the source code excerpts. That would make it clearer where a particular excerpt starts and stops (and it is commonly done in other wikis and web pages). The documentation for this extension discusses how to add a border, but it requires a small edit to the PHP source, so Tom would have to do it. -- Aebrown 13:40, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- This should now be fixed. Give it a try and let me know if you have any problems with it. Tom Welch 21:11, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- This works great -- we should be able to use the source tag for just about every code snippet in the wiki. Thanks for the help! -- Aebrown 12:48, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
