Teachers as Members on Rolls

#1

Post by rwstum »

Are the names of the teachers of PH or SS classes supposed to be listed as "Members" on the class rolls?
In other words, would an adult teacher be listed as a “member” of that same youth SS class, which he or she is teaching?

I'd expect them to be listed in the class they'd be in if they weren't teaching. They're both a teacher and a member.

Adult teachers of youth classes are not members of the class they are teaching. On paper class attendance rolls they are listed at the top of the page as the teacher but it is not intended as a means of marking them for attending their adult class. Adult teachers are marked as attending their adult classes on the adult class roster.

As stated adults are not on the rolls for any class other than the adult classes they attend. In our ward the EQ and RS presidents are asked to try to account for them on RS/EQ Sundays and the Ward Clerk tries to account for them on the other Sundays.
