The first step is to make sure both apps are logged in using the same church account.
The next step is to see what you see on the website. That will tell you which device isn't syncing.

Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

I have found that for me anyway, restarting both (or more) machines forces them both to update. Usually I can be sucessful by just using the "sync" button in stettings but that does always work, resetting always does. I use my Windoew 10 desktop, my Samsung 24 Ultra, my Samsung Tab S9 and my IPad Mini and have good luck syncing across all platforms.
