Disabling two-step verification

Church Account is the primary user account (user name and password) for accessing online Church resources. Church Account was formerly known as LDS Account. This forum is a space to discuss all things related to Church Accounts (registration, account recovery, user experience, vulnerabilities, etc.).

How do I disable the two step verification on MY OWN account?

Call the Global Services Department, they can do that for you. Your ward clerk should be able to give you the phone number for them.

Assuming you can still get into your account, and you're not a church employee or someone that is required to have two-step, you should be able to go to "Account" by clicking on the blue orb with your initials at the top of the page, or by going to account.churchofjesuschrist.org
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
