I was earlier studying President Nelson's Teachings of the Presidents book. I came back just now and it seems there are a bunch of books now missing? My history for today is either bugged or blank now? This seems to be the case for both windows and android.

I’m having the same issue. The entire Books and Manuals section is gone. I deleted the app and reinstalled and it’s still missing.

The same thing has happened to me.
I had a study plan with the teachings of the prophets and had started with President Nelson and Joseph Smith. That material, apparently, has been removed. I'm not sure why.

these books, save President Nelson's, are still available to purchase on the official store. It would be safe to imagine this part of the app to return unless these were also removed and unavailable for purchase or distribution otherwise. the digital nature of the most recent iteration would make it seem transitionary to digital and the removal thereof seems temporary and is likely based on some technical factor to be resolved prior to their return.
All that said, I do hope we get some kind of update in explanation. quite a chunk missing from a most endeared library would be cause for upset.

I'm not sure what the issue is. I still see President Nelson's book on Android:

looks like i was correct. these have been restored

Or, perhaps "replaced" with a version that has updated markings, etc.
