Unable to change username

Hello,
I have looked at the question and answers to find instructions on how to change the username. However, for some reason, I am not even given the option to change the user name. It is not an editable field and there is no "edit" link. I do not work for the church but I am a service missionary... Can you tell me how to go about changing the user name?

I don't know if you're referring to the normal Church account username, or something specific to your calling as a service missionary.
For a normal Church account change, if you go to the
Account Settings webpage, the "Username" field is shown as editable. I didn't try and change my username, but it seems like that should be sufficient.

I am referring to my normal church account. It does not give me the option to change it.

If the account settings page does not show the field as editable, then I'm not sure what you can do on your own. I'd suggest contacting your ward clerk. He can provide you the contact info for the Church's Global Service Center, and they can help resolve this issue for you.

As a ward clerk I can edit all of a member’s names, that is Member Name, Preferred Name and if applicable Maiden Name. What I don’t see is the term Username. If memory serves me right the term Username is normally only associated with the login to a Member Church account. If the latter scenario the Username can be edited in the Members own Profile settings.

If your Church Account is "workforce"-enabled or if you have a Church email address, the username field won't be editable. That includes Church employees, Seminary and Institute callings, and missionaries. Possibly temple workers as well. These accounts also require two-step verification.
