Ordinance Preparation System

Hello folks,

In the recent RootsTech 2024 Leadership session there was a reference to the "Ordinance Preparation System". I have not been able to find it in LCR nor in any other announcement. I also check the "Access per Calling" and it does not appear there either. I only found this documentation with a collection of nice tutorials.

Does anyone know if this system is live? Is it only accessible through other means? I also found this site reference that looks promising. Not sure if google just gave me a prototype of the application or not.

Any info will be much appreciated. Thank you!

Maybe it's in the process of being rolled out. We know LCR is going to be rebranded as some kind of more generic "member tools" in the future. Maybe things like this will be added to it. I read a little bit of the document you referenced and it looks like your calling will have to be Bishop or Stake President to initiate anything in the new system. If you currently hold one of those callings, then maybe it's not active yet. If you don't hold one of those callings, then maybe it's active.

I confirmed that this is not available in LCR in the Stake President's view. Does anyone know who can I follow up with?

I don't know anything official about the status of this, but with some other things they have put the documentation out around when they start doing betas of it, so it might be available in a few stakes or temples as they start rolling it out. Or the documentation may have been written before they finished the application.

Another idea would be to work through the RootsTech system. I don't know what type of access attendees have for follow-up questions (I've never attended), but perhaps the RootsTech folks might have more details about this new functionality. It's possible they have some kind of implementation timeline, or maybe awareness if it's going through a beta rollout and then a general solution. And if you were able to directly connect with the person/people who gave that particular presentation, even better.
