Main Temple icon missing in Family Tree app

When I sign into the Family Tree app there are five icons along the bottom (Tree, Tasks, Temple, Recents and More) I am working with a recent convert to take names to the Temple to do baptisms. He was was baptized in October and is a priest. When he signs into the Family Tree app there are only 4 icons along the bottom. The Temple icon is missing.

I have watched him sign in and he is signing in with his church account. On the sign on screen he chooses "continue with Church Account"

Why does he not have access to the Temple icon and thus Ordinances Ready? How can we fix this?

We are both using version 4.8.8 of the Family Tree app on iPhones.

Does he have his MRN assigned to his church account? Without that, the system will consider him a non-member.

I don't know? What is an MRN, and where would a look to see that?

Membership Record Number. It's what all the computers systems used to tie a member to their membership and/or calling.

Have him go to account.churchofjesuschrist.org. I believe it's at the bottom of the main page.

The MRN can be found on a temple recommend. Otherwise they're going to need to ask their clerk or other leader for it.

I am having the same problem
The temple icon is missing on a members family search account. When I tried to add his mrn number is said that he already had an account.

How can I rectify this please

This usually means that the member has another Church account. One solution is to sign into FamilySearch with the Church account that is associated with his MRN. This post explains how to recover that account if needed.

He would then probably wish to delete the account without the MRN attached. (See this post in the same thread.)

If there is a compelling reason to combine the two accounts, he may wish to visit with the local unit clerk for additional assistance and contact information for the Global Services Department (help desk). His clerk also should be able to help with any of these other situations.

FamilySearch accounts separated from Church Accounts some time ago.

For help with FamilySearch accounts, you need to contact FamilySearch Support.

Note that you can log into FamilySearch with a church account by clicking on the church icon before logging in.

I forgot that. You may be able to add your MRN to the FamilySearch Sign In credentials. But if you use your Church account to sign in at FamilySearch, you will have to use the Church account with your MRN attached to see temple ordinance information.
