Downloads very buggy, especially on slow connections. Destroys app usefulness

Continual download problems on Windows 10 home.
A download fails, then gets into an endless loop and keeps trying to download, which seems to prevent any other download of files from happening.
E.g. trying to download Primary CFM manual is stuck in this loop, and if I tap to download anything else, icon changes to show as downloading for a second and then goes back to greyed out as if you still have to download it.
This has been a problem over several computers and OS now: Windows, IOS, X-Box.
Getting to the point I can't even use the app anymore.
Please build in a detection of connection speed, or a limit on % allowed of available bandwidth, so this doesn't fail in developing nations or if you live in a house with rock walls and the router WiFi doesn't get through them easily, like here.

FYI, the Tech Forum is primarily user-to-user self-help, where other members like yourself share ideas and workarounds. There is nobody here in the Forum with a direct connection to the Church's development team, so it's very unlikely your request will ever be seen by their IT group.

You can submit feedback through the "Feedback" functionality available at the bottom of most Church webpages. This will get your issue into the Church's system, and is the best (and realistically only) way to try and get action on usability issues like what you describe.
