I have made the necessary changes in my personal information and saved it. But it keeps telling me it is not saved. The "save" button is greyed out to make it impossible to continue. It would appear there are also problems in being able to pull up the formating tools as it won't let me actually underline but uses the formula. I would really like to go into other information and check things out. Please help.

You might want to try incognito mode. Church websites frequently have problems with cookie build-up.

You also might try another browser to see if it works better for you.
