It seems the Gospel Living App doesn't pull down the main calendar from churchofjesuschrist.org

That needs to be integrated ASAP — we've FINALLY gotten most everyone to go to the main calendar. Please don't make us enter things on multiple calendars.

I have to imagine this will be tough to do, the calendar would have to be read only like it is in tools, or it would have to incorporate all of the building scheduling features.

It's possible it's linked to the Youth Activity - Planner which is not connected to the church calendar.

Still, having a calendar independent of the main ward calendar and building scheduling seems like an invite to trouble.

I 100% agree with Russell's observation: this was perhaps the feature I anticipated most from the Gospel Living app. Given this tool was apparently designed primarily for the youth, I'm sad/frustrated it will require burdensome overhead to keep youth events synced with what the ward, especially parents can access. Suggestion for everyone who cares about integrating the app's calendar with the ward calendar:

Having a calendar dissociated from the one _parents_ can access requires substantial, additional overhead to keep parents connected and informed. I believe the rising generation values a seamless technology experience that _reduces_ administrative tasks, especially when they can be systematically automated, such as with an integrated calendar.
