A reminder of our Code of Conduct

The Tech Forum is an official Church web site designed to encourage community discussion, support, help, and feedback about technology and how it helps us serve in the Church. In keeping with the teachings and standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all the content in these forums are monitored for inappropriate content by Church employees as well as community moderators.

The forums are open for candid discussions on bugs and problems in the Church's programs and it is understandable that these may be frustrating at times. When the frustration boils over into disrespect for the Church, its leaders, policies, programs, employees, or others, such individuals may be prevented from posting, or topics may be locked for a number of days in order to let all involved cool down and regain control.

Normally actions are taken by the moderators and administrators of this forum after a private discussion and a consensus is reached. Church employees, who have stewardship over the forum, monitor and take part in these discussions. These discussions are based upon the Code of Conduct with the goal of maintaining the integrity of the forum. Depending on the situation, the more inflammatory posts may be hidden from public view until a final decision is reached.

Anyone who feels they have been wronged or attacked by another user in private communication should take up the issue with a Moderator, or an Administrator in private. If a member feels they have been wronged by a moderator or community administrator, they should take the issue up with a Tech Forum administrator, in private. Anyone attempting to publicly deal with personal issues can expect to have their posts removed from public view.

We value everyone's point of view but we ask all to be respectful and kind to others.

Thank you for using the Tech Forums.

Tom
