CDN via HTTPS?
Amazon just launched their audio streaming API for Alexa Skills Kit. In order to stream audio the source must be accessed via https. I'm curious if there's anyway to access general conference, scriptures and other CDN content via HTTPS? If not, is there anyway to request it? I could see this being a very useful way to access gospel library audio content. Thanks!

Although many of the links on LDS.org point to http://, it works fine switching them to https://.
For example, the MP3 audio download on this page points to:
http://media2.ldscdn.org/assets/general ... 4k-eng.mp3
But this works too:
https://media2.ldscdn.org/assets/genera ... 4k-eng.mp3

Re: CDN via HTTPS?
It works, but the certificate is invalid which I don't think Amazon will allow when streaming. I'll give it a try though. Thanks!

The certificate being used doesn't match the website.thattolleyguy wrote:the certificate is invalid

Re: CDN via HTTPS?
So I've attempted to make use of these URLs but with the invalid certificate it won't work. Are there any channels I can go down to try and get this changed? I really think this is a great option for gospel library content. My kids for example are to young to read and don't have their own digital devices but they could use Alexa services to listen to scriptures and general conference talks. Is there anyone who might be able to help? Thanks.

You could use the feedback link on the main lds.org page.

Re: CDN via HTTPS?
I ran into the same problem. Many of the church's sites can be reached using a secure connection, *except* media2.ldscdn.org:
https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere/at ... n.org.html
I made a comment on the talk page of https://tech.lds.org/wiki/LDS_Music_external_resources, as it has links to media2.ldscdn.org using HTTPS (that then hit the certificate error). I also submitted feedback through the lds.org site. Hopefully one of the two gets noticed so the certificate can be fixed.

Re: CDN via HTTPS?
Yeah. I've tried working through some contributors I know work for the church and have yet to hear any feedback. I've also gone through the process of making a licensing request, but that can take up to 6 weeks. I guess we'll just wait and see

@thattolleyguy - Have you made any progress in the licensing discussions? I still haven't gotten any response from my attempt in October.
