Templates for Ward Programs and Agendas for Administrations

Post by ossil »

Hello,

I have been meaning to make a suggestion regarding the possibility to develop templates for Ward Programs and Agendas for administration for Stake Presidency Meetings, Bishopric Meetings, Stake High Council Meetings, etc... on the Cloud or Cloud based.

My idea is that there would be something similar to what Google Docs does. If a person on a specific account was to create a document, that person can share this document through Google Docs AND, it can be downloaded in a variety of formats (i.e. PDF, Word doc, Open Office, RTF, text).

The reason why I am making this recommendation, request and suggestion of the LDS Tech is because I am finding where I am a Assistant Stake Executive Secretary, there people in these callings that may NOT be as tech savvy thus the learning curve to get things done regresses. The work of the kingdom in the stake in zion can move quickly or reduce to a halt depending on the availability of skilled tech skilled people.

Sometimes people are called to be the Ward Program specialist and they many not have the ability or know how to make a program and many times they need the template from the other Ward Program creator.

If there was a standard template that could be housed behind the LDS.org log-In for those with the callings, it would be GREAT if there was SOME TYPE of Template FORM designed that one can fill in the blank, then DOWNLOAD it to become PRINTABLE such as can be done on Google Docs.

Food for thought...if you need further explanation please call on me:-)!

This is an excellent suggestion that has been discussed before. You may wish to send it through the LDS.org Feedback link, where it will be seen by those who make these decisions. Here at the Forum we are users who discuss and share ideas, but it is extremely rare that decision makers are involved and actually see the ideas that are discussed here.
