Scheduled Outage
On Friday, 17 October 2008 from 11:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. (MDT), all Church systems and applications (LDS Mail, LDS.org, etc.) will not be available due to scheduled maintenance.

Tom, will this include doing Send/Receive from MLS during that time frame?

Given the hour of the planned outage, this shouldn't be an issue for us.
Especially since it's on a Friday.
Thanks for the note.
Just to be on the safe side, I'll transmit a note to each Bishop.

Will there be a posting on the websites stating the outage when it happens? Even before?
I know that in the past the forum made this type of suggestion. That way, those who are trying to browse LDS.org will see a message as to why they cannot access it--instead of wondering what is wrong with their connection or the LDS website.

This would be nice, but I would guess that if the work is on the network itself, that it wouldn't be possible to post a notice that would display during the outage. Before hand would be nice.

Does anyone know if this includes familysearch.org? Are there any church sites not affected? (byu.edu?)
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Fortunately they chose late Friday night and not late Saturday so it won't affect those trying to prepare their priesthood lessons.
