They're calling everyone, I got a call in the middle of fixing my last location.

Everyone, Everyone... the absolute KEY to success is to hit the RESET button DURING the rainbow of colors, nothing else matters in the instructions... the initial reset to get it going into the rainbow of flavors, then, when the rainbow is going on, hit reset for 4 seconds, that's the KEY... I struggled with my first, but the remaining 3 went smooth, smooth!
