Yeah, the "all day" feature prioritizes the event for the day and highlights it as "important". Works really well for things like holidays, fast Sunday, etc. I'm having to do the actual time on everything now, and agree that in some cases, like a ward conference, it actually seems better, but still looking for a solution.

I appreciate the posts on this thread. Extremely annoying bug. My work around is to schedule multiple day events with a specific start and end time. So stake conference is not all day Saturday and Sunday, but 4 PM Saturday until 4 PM Sunday. Of course I will have to go back and edit after DST ends, but at least it gets it on the right days.

I'll happily take a mid-November fix. My "work-around" will be double work, but has been making the events go from 1 a.m. to 1145 p.m. Then after the fix go back and edit the events. But at least we can get started on 2023 calendaring.

I got a update that it will be most likely after General Conference.
Update: it's now "mid-November".
This is why church programmers rarely give timelines for changes.

I see that there was supposed to be a new calendar released in September, we are now in November and still have the same 2 issues - all day events show up as 3 days and reoccurring events after the first of March are not correct. Is there a date planned for the new calendar release? Many of us are calendaring for the Stakes/Wards for 2023 and really need these issues to be resolved. Could someone please let us know when we might be seeing this new version - so we can provide insight to our leaders? Thank you.

I am sure there is, but it seems they have already missed it a time or two. It is very unusual for someone from the Church to announce a release date, especially for new software. Someone must have been pretty certain they were going to make their target, but it is still doubtful wisdom to announce, at least in my opinion.
From what I hear, the new release is imminent. Please note that I have no clue or inside information. Also note that the word imminent sounds exciting and near term, but that the actual definition of the word contains absolutely no reference to any time frame whatsoever.
In other words, we will know it is released when we see that it is released. Again though, I also hope that it will happen sometime soon. Imminent just sounds more impressive and hopeful.

Yes, then it was "after General Conference" and then "Mid-November".
This is not unusual for church projects. That's probably why they rarely give a timeline.

New bugs may be in the new calendar. It may fix old issues and create new ones, at least that has been the track record with previous calendar updates. Just so folks are aware, keep an eye out for problems when it is released.

Is it not fascinating that these very helpful computers seem to always do just exactly what they were programmed to do.

Update: The upgrade is expected to happen November 15. Expect an outage that day of a few hours.
