I'm having the same issue. The Gospel Library version is 6.7.3-(673028.1335960) and my tablet version is Samsung SM-T813 Android 7.0. I haven't seen anything on this thread that helps. Any help is greatly appreciated!

That's what's showing on my phone. However, GL does require some features of the OS that may need to be updated. Is your Google Playstore and Google apps upto to date?
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Has anyone discovered a solution to this failed sign-in on a Samsung tablet? Silence from the developers is frustrating.

The original problem got corrected, I think with an update. But now it is back. I think there was another update that broke it again. I know there was an update with the Tools app which also will not let me log in on my Samsung tablet.

Yes, I have the no sign-in issue with both Gospel Library and Member Tools. They both stopped working at the same time months ago. Samsung tablet on Android 7. Factory reset (not done specifically for this problem) did not help.
There are enough people having this exact issue to merit a response from the developers. Are any of them listening?

Not here. If the app won't let you give feedback, there's an email on the Google Play store.
Note that the first question in Member Tools Frequently Asked Questions indicates that Android 8 or later is needed. (Google Play indicates Android 6. I'm not sure why the discrepancy.)
Note that Google ended support for Android 7 on October 4, 2019. And they stopped updating Chrome on 7 at the end of last year.

The app DOES allow feedback. I've reported the issue through Help | Send Feedback, but received no response of any kind.

I do not know if any of you have had the message that I received when I opened the Gospel App this morning. It said that I needed to update my OS or I would not be able to continue to use the Gospel app. Looks like I cant do that.
