What is the 'Gospel Living' app? Where is it available?

Gospel Living for iOS and Android has now rolled out to Japan, Canada, and Mexico (in addition to Brazil, France, and the UK).

Do we have any idea if these roll-outs are accompanied by leader email alerts? In other words, anyone know how the members in these countries found out?

Although realistically, with how info spreads like wildfire across social media, I often hear about changes on FB or something, even before getting a leader email from Church HQ sent my way. So when USA gets the app, I'm sure I'll hear about it one way or the other

It's not the way of the church to communicate with members on things like this, they communicate with leaders who most often don't read the things that are sent. These leaders are so busy they often aren't as informed as members are about how things should be working, it makes for very difficult struggles to be telling a Bishop or Stake President they are wrong about something, a thing we're not culturally disposed to even do in any way. So, we perpetuate mis or patial information about almost everything we do, like for instance that all activities are to be based on the goals of children and youth, when the printed instructions really say, that 'on occasion' activities 'may' be based on a goal. Which then perpetuates something that is also in the written instructures, all goals don't need to be shared with leaders and parents, and leaders and parents aren't to track goals. It gets all messed up right from the start and entire stakes will go years and years doing it wrong.

But that's what you get when you value, 1) Agency, and 2) Priesthood Keys.

The app went live in Canada yesterday. I don't see any notices about it on the main church webage, but I got an email about it yesterday morning and have downloaded it.

The announcements said it was suppose to be live on January 1 but nothing since. I saw it in the google store yesterday and now it is gone. Anyone know what is going on? It would be nice to have an update on it. My daughter is excited to use it.

We are all excited to use the new app.

So far we know it was released first in Brazil, France, and the UK. It has very recently been rolled out in Canada, Japan, and Mexico.

The future schedule or the future order of countries in which the app will be released has not yet (and probably will not be) announced. It all makes for a very grand and historic adventure.
