I'm trying to find out if anything on the back end has changed in the last couple days.
I gave a presentation on the new sites for our stake's priesthood leadership just this last Sunday, July 11, and it worked fine then. But on Wednesday, July 14, it did not work (and still does not). Perhaps that helps you narrow it down.jdcr256 wrote:Can any of you for whom it's broken confirm that it was working before the 14th?

Does anyone have any idea when the directory will be back in action? The downtime came just when I have started a campaign to encourage members to sign onto the website and use the new directory. I know that it is still in beta but it had been running so smoothly I figured it was safe to try to "sell" it to the stake and ward leaders.....

This issue didn't really get any attention from any of the developers on this forum until Friday, and they work a regular work week. I imagine they'll need at least a day or two to figure out what's going on and to make a plan.zaneclark wrote:Does anyone have any idea when the directory will be back in action?

Last night I got a response back from my Feedback I sent last week on this issue:Alan_Brown wrote:This issue didn't really get any attention from any of the developers on this forum until Friday, and they work a regular work week. Your guess is as good as mine as to what "very soon" means, but it's encouraging that it is confirmed and a fix is in the works. Thanks for the feedback Alan. We're seeing this issue too and have been working on a fix. Keep checking back. We'll release an update very soon.

FYI, the issue that's causing the problem (which also affects calendar) is an unfortunate change to the authentication system. To compound the problem, we are migrating to a new authentication system with our next release, so there are not many resources to fix issues with the old system.
Hopefully we can get a fix quicker than our next release, but...![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)

I guess we should consider ourselves lucky (or blessed). Both the calendar and directory have been working fine for us. The only problem I've noticed in the past few days is a need to Logon twice.jdcr256 wrote:FYI, the issue that's causing the problem (which also affects calendar) is an unfortunate change to the authentication system. When the site first comes up I click on the Login link and enter the information. The authentication screen refreshes and the upper right-hand corner of the screen shows that I'm Logged in. However, when I click on either Calendar or Directory, I'm given another Login screen. After I Login AGAIN, the directory/calendar work as expected.
