This is the site for the building that the church was using to add to google maps. What is interesting to me is the subdomain for the ward websites local.churchofjesuschrist.org takes you ,not to a directory of ward websites, except to a directory of these building websites.jbowne wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 5:56 am I did a search on 'shawnee mission ysa ward site:local.churchofjesuschrist.org' and I did get the building website but nothing for the ward website. This was the result: https://local.churchofjesuschrist.org/e ... ley-street

Good Find I fond this on the PDF on that pagegglover wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2024 5:03 pm Someone found this, not sure how they got to this link from the main site but it has good info:

Coordinating the Ward Activity Web Page
The bishop assigns a brother or sister to coordinate the ward activity web page. He may select someone on the ward
council, a ward mission leader, a ward missionary, a counselor or secretary in one of the ward organizations, the ward
executive secretary, the ward clerk, or an assistant ward clerk (note that a new calling should not be created for this
assignment).
Following established safety guidelines (see “Key Principles for Safe Activities”), this assigned member publishes
planned ward activities through the Church calendar and the ward activity web page using images and activity
descriptions that relate to the community.
The assigned person also shares with the ward council and members of the weekly coordination meeting the list of
people who have RSVP’d to ward activities and those who have requested to learn more about the Church.

I don't know how much control anyone has over the page beyond the events.

Re: NEW Public Ward Websites!
For awareness, when I click on this link, I get the following:
"Access Denied
Your unit is not participating in the Activity Sharing technology, or you are not authorized to access the Unit Webpage Management portal."
While I'm certain my current calling wouldn't allow me access authorization, I think the bigger issue is that the "Activity Sharing technology" rollout is still fairly limited (from what I understand). And as mentioned previously, the help docs state this is being done Area-by-Area. Ideally the Area would let the Stake who would then let the Wards/Branches know when this was going live for their units -- but we all know sometimes the communication thread gets a bit frayed.
Just sharing to set expectations. I'm sure some members will mistakenly think this is globally available, and get frustrated trying to figure out "why it doesn't work", when it may not have reached their Area/Stake.

It's also worth noting this from the "Common Questions" section of the webpage:
How are stake activities created and posted?
Stake activities are a future consideration. To create a stake activity today, they need to be created on each individual ward calendar.

Easiest way to access the page
Log into website and access 'My Home' - after that look below your name and next to your ward name there is a link for 'View Ward Page'

Re: NEW Public Ward Websites!
I don't have that link because it defaults to my home ward, of which I don't have a calling as I serve out of unit in the YSA bishopric (which is under another stake). Soo.. how do I change the ward that the 'My Home' landing page goes to? If there is a way I can swap that to the ward I am actually serving in, it would be interesting to see if the website link shows up.

Re: NEW Public Ward Websites!
Very good! I sent an email to activitysharing@churchofjesuschrist.org and it created a ticket in their servicenow ticketing system. Hoping it will get reviewed and the feature enabled for our YSA!BrianEdwards wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 11:50 amFor awareness, when I click on this link, I get the following:
