Correct me if I’m wrong about this, but wasn’t the token used primarily for the now defunct MLS application in Clerk computers, not elsewhere?

Since I'm used to the systems in the US/Canada what area are you living in there the FM Group Leader is the person that coordinates with HQ about this? I mean, the first contact should be a Technology Specialist, and then a Stake/District Clerk for the US/Canada, so just curious why the FM group would help with logins to a computer system, maybe that's the support model elsewhere in the world.

I believe it still has something to do with printing checks in the areas of the world where checks are still used by the Church.

You do get a warning if you try to print a check from a computer that is not on the church network. But there is no longer a unit specific token that has to be enabled. That was the case for MLS but isn't for LCR. So you can print checks on any clerk computer for any unit (assuming you have your check stock available).
