Yes, it will work just as well with any gmail address.

@dbaresrc, I was wondering about this potential issue. If I delete the account in the church system, does that mean all the meetings and webinars that were already scheduled will get deleted? Or if I remove it from the Church system and then readd it, will it still have the already setup meetings?

My alternative which I think works fine is that if someone changes the password to the zoom for a ward, then I just go in and do a password reset on zoom for that ward specific email (ie. stake+ward@gmail.com) and since that's the email I control I get the password reset and I can reset it back to the default I want. I like this approach better since I don't want the ward to lose anything they've already scheduled and possibly sent out.

In some cases stake or ward technology specialists are being asked to manage these accounts. One option local leaders can use to simplify the management of multiple accounts is by using the Gmail "task-specific" email feature. Using this feature makes it possible to manage all your virtual meeting accounts from a single Gmail account. So is the church wanting us Stake Technology specialist to create/manage the zoom accounts for the wards in the stake? Ether way that is fine but I wish there was more specific to the point directions. This entire you can do this or whatever you want and if you need help go to this forum and spend hours trying to read multiple messages until you find what you think it is right for your stake to do is very time consuming and it has become almost a second full-time job.

So it looks like if a ward has already set up a zoom account with an email, you can't set it up with task-specific gmail accounts because you have to enter in the email address that the account was created under. Am I understanding this correctly? Is there a way to both transfer the pre-purchased license AND use the task-specific email accounts?

It can probably be done, either by changing the email associated with the account before or after the conversion.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

yes, if you delete a Church-sponsored Zoom account through the Meetings website, the account is gone including all its scheduled meetings.

You are correct about the password reset process. That's why it's much better to set up these church accounts with email address controlled at a stake level rather than using personal email addresses.

I wrote in another thread that if you're going to convert existing licenses to the Church system, do it, get the refund (id you pre-paid), then cancel the account with that email address from the Church system and open a new one with a Stake controlled email address.

I set up a stake account at the meet site. I completed the process at Zoom. All was well.
At Zoom, I changed the password. The stake account at the meet site has reverted to Setup Not Complete (probably because the password does not match).
I cannot delete the account at meet. What do I do now?

That would be prudent. Otherwise, people might start "barrowing" another units account.
