Aren't the FHC computers left on occasionally, or perhaps are just on longer during more days, so LANDesk is able to access them and do its thing?
My understanding is that some of the LANDesk communications occur in the silent mode during the published FHC hours. The published FHC hours are the times that Church headquarters can poll properly configured FHC computers.

I know some that do that, I never have. But then a few of my machines don't update properly ....
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

A LOT of machines don't update properly. There was an issue with LANDesk & Symantec together on desktop 5.5 that caused Landesk to never check in with the server at HQ, so there are many machines that try to check in, but never get there.

All the desktop images have landesk, but some groups like Local Unit at HQ do not actively use it. Family History Centers do use it, but to the extent that I don't know. I do know that several of the engineers over there used to actually work at LANDesk, so they understand the product very well.

There is a check-in interval cycle, but it depends on what type of system you have. if your FHC, it checks in like once a month. If your Local unit, it's another number. HQ checks in every day.
