Clearing the cache and cookies seems to have worked for both my Firefox 9 and IE8 browsers.

After I log in, the display shows the whole USA with markers for all the ward buildings but no membership information. I can manually scroll down to my ward area but no membership markers are visible. Clicking on the Options link does nothing (like there is no programming associated with the link). Clicking on the Download Link opens a window that took a long time - I didn't wait for it to finish. Clicking on the Directory link takes me to the first ward (alphabetically) in our Stake (as reported in another thread).
Clicking on the buttons at the bottom:
"Home" brings up the text that shows before you log in.
"My Ward and Stake" button does nothing.
"Share Map" brings up a window with the map link.
"Printer" button brings up a Printer window.
"APPS" Button brings up a list of the Apps.
This behavior is the same with the latest updates of both IE9 and Firefox, on 3 different computers through 2 different networks. Clearing the Cache in both browsers has no effect. Today's case was with a brand new install of Win7 and IE9 - first time accessing LDS.org.

Taking a wild guess, it sounds like it's not able to connect you to your ward.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Anyone have an idea how I would correct this? Things seem to work fine in the production Map and my name is correctly shown at the top of the page with this Beta. When I click on the Directory, it brings up the first alphabetical ward as already reported but at least it has the right stake. I would love to play around with it but it is currently non-functional for me.

The majority of the households have their profiles set to private (UK/Europe default) and are not displayed. The public profiles, 5 or 6, are shown OK, but a random few of the private profiles are also shown. The markers seem to have no logic in who/what is displayed.
At the moment I can't find a pattern! The normal map locator displays correctly.
The results are the same in IE9 and Chrome 16.

Testing this again.
I didn't sign in to lds.org all weekend so I thought I would revisit my experience with the markers loading. It seems to be working better now, albeit slowly.
After first signing in I see my home ward marker. The ward list is empty except for a loading indicator spinning - which I didn't see before. This is the slow part - it took about 30 seconds for the ward list to load. At least I had an indicator to show me that something was happening. Eventually, the ward list and markers all appeared at once.
